## Challenge

PBC patients and clinicians faced a significant disconnect between how pruritus severity was described in clinical records and the genuine burden experienced by patients in daily life, with limited accessible plain-language evidence available to patients and advocacy communities about how itch affects quality of life.

## Solution

A plain language summary of the TARGET-PBC pruritus quality of life study was developed and published, translating key findings about itch burden, its impact across PBC-40 domains, and treatment gaps into accessible language for patient and advocacy audiences.

## Impact

Making real-world evidence on pruritus burden accessible beyond the scientific community strengthens patient advocacy, supports label language development for anti-pruritus therapies, and positions Target RWE as a partner that generates patient-centered evidence with direct communication value.
