## Challenge

Sexually transmitted infections and reproductive health needs of women living in the Southern US had not been systematically characterized using linkage of public health and healthcare data, leaving gaps in evidence for intervention design.

## Solution

Target RWE researchers leveraged linked public health infrastructure and healthcare data to characterize STI burden and sexual health service utilization patterns among women in the Southern US, identifying care access gaps and priority intervention targets.

## Impact

Characterizing STI burden and health system gaps in the Southern US provides evidence for public health partners and pharma companies developing STI prevention and treatment programs targeting underserved populations in high-burden US geographies.
