## Challenge

The treatment landscape for primary immune thrombocytopenia had expanded with thrombopoietin receptor agonists, but real-world patterns of treatment sequencing, duration, and switching had not been systematically described in a large hematology clinic dataset.

## Solution

Target RWE researchers characterized treatment patterns among adults with ITP diagnosed in US hematology clinics using real-world data, describing sequences of conventional and novel agents, duration of therapy, and predictors of treatment modification.

## Impact

Documenting real-world ITP treatment sequencing patterns provides Amgen and other hematology sponsors with natural history and competitive context needed to design effectiveness studies and position novel ITP therapies.
