## Challenge

Post-fracture treatment rates among commercially insured post-menopausal women in the US have been declining, but contemporary trends in subsequent fracture risk and post-fracture treatment utilization among younger commercially insured women had not been characterized.

## Solution

Target RWE and Amgen researchers analyzed a large commercial insurance claims database to describe yearly fracture incidence rates, subsequent fracture risk, and post-fracture pharmacologic treatment patterns among post-menopausal women from 2012 to 2021.

## Impact

Demonstrating persistently low post-fracture treatment rates in commercially insured women provides Amgen with compelling real-world evidence of a treatment gap supporting the commercial and clinical case for osteoporosis therapy.
