Immunomodulators are Commonly Used as Concomitant Therapy with Vedolizumab or Ustekinumab: TARGET-IBD Real World Cohort
Author: Julie M. Crawford
Challenge
This is the DDW 2021 poster version of the immunomodulator combination therapy study (Row 5 manuscript). Earlier conference presentation characterizing the prevalence and predictors of immunomodulator use with vedolizumab and ustekinumab across the TARGET-IBD cohort.
Solution
The TARGET-IBD registry was used to estimate combination therapy prevalence across vedolizumab-CD, ustekinumab-CD, and vedolizumab-UC patients, with descriptive comparison of combination versus monotherapy patient characteristics.
Impact
Initial conference dissemination of combination therapy prevalence data at DDW 2021 establishes the real-world practice pattern baseline for non-TNF biologic combination use, informing prescriber education and the design of prospective combination therapy trials for vedolizumab and ustekinumab.
